Welcome
My work is characterized by its sense of fun and spontaneity. My pieces are made to celebrate color, texture and stitch. I am always experimenting with new techniques because for me Life is about learning. I consider myself a fiber artist but also create pieces in other mediums. I especially enjoy working with water soluble crayons on paper and fabric. My latest creative obsession is carving blocks to create stamped images (stamped art coming soon!)
Enjoy your visit and thanks for taking the time to view my artwork . To see works in progress and read about my daily art activities you can visit my blog

News-May 2008
Wow, it's been quite awhile since I've added any news (or anything else for that matter) to my website. Let's see, I'm still here, still making art, still entering exhibitions and generally still enjoying the gifts that being creative have brought to my life. Probably my biggest news just lately in my artistic journey lately is the addition of teaching classes!! I have already taught a few and loved it! Sharing my passion for finding your own creative muse is simply wonderful! I hope to add a CLASSES section on this website, but in the meantime, you can find all of the information on the webpage for Fiber on a Whim , the fantastic fiber art shop where I'll be teaching in Sandy Springs, Georgia. There are six (yes six!) different classes on the schedule for June and July including: wet felted vessels, needlefelting, sunprinting, monoprinting, watersoluble wax pastels for the fiber artist and stamp carving. I also hope to add a gallery of new work soon as well. A lot of my work is in my etsy shop but I still plan on adding some here as well, especially my fiber art pieces. Well, I hope you all have a great summer! I'll try to keep you posted on news more often or you can visit my blog where I try and post about once a week or more.
News-August 2007
I have spent some time updating this site this month so look for new artwork and updated pictures of other artwork. Exciting news--My piece, Stitch Frenzy, won Juror's First Choice Award at the National Small Art Quilts Exhibit. Also, if you are local to Georgia I have some pieces on display around the Atlanta area. First, my fiber group, Fiber Art Fusion, is having a gallery event at The Art Place in Marietta. The opening is September 6th, 7 to 9 pm. Also, the East Cobb Quilt Guild is having it's show the weekend of September 14-16th and I have a piece in the wearables exhibit. Fiber on a Whim, my favorite place to shop, has some of my drawings and fiber art for sale in their shop in Sandy Springs. And, finally, I will have a booth at the Creative ARts Guild exhibit in Dalton, GA (my hometown) Sept 14 through the 16th.

News-January 2007
I am honored to have been chosen as one of 10 artists to participate in the FiberArt for a Cause 2007 Invitational Reverse Auction (100% of the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society). The Reverse Auction is part of a larger fundraiser FiberArt for a Cause. This fabulous fundraiser has donated over $120,000 for cancer research over the past 18 months. You can see my postcards donated to this fabulous cause in my galleries and here. Virginia Spiegel, a fabulous fiber artist, started this fantastic project with the hopes of raising just $90 for cancer research. Amazing.
